I am sorry I can't be with you all today. I am home sick, but fairly certain I will be healthy enough to return tomorrow. I expect each of you to be respectful toward our substitute teacher and responsive toward today's lesson.
Today we will be examining political cartoons, and the role these cartoons play in our political process. As a means to warm up, let's discuss a few questions and examine a few cartoons. Please go to Cartoon # 1.

Now that we have warmed up, let's examine some important political cartoons from the 2008 Presidential Election. After examining cartoons 4, 5, & 6, we will complete a full evaluation in the Cartoon Analysis packet. Please bring this packet to ELA today and be sure it is in social studies tomorrow.
